19th July 2010 - Battle.net becoming social gaming platform "no secret" says Blizz

If you thought that Blizzard was concocting secret plans to turn Battle.net into a social platform for all their games, then you're right... and wrong. 9th July 2010 - Blizzard listens to users - announces cancellation of RealID-related changes to official forums

After a large amount of negative feedback from the community, as well as a negative reaction in the media, the CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime, has posted a retraction of the previously-announced policy regarding real name being mandatory when posting in official forums.

1st July 2010 - Blizzard mindful of free-to-play MMOs

Big wigs at Blizzard HQ recognise that at some point it "may not make sense" to have subscription charges for World of Warcraft anymore.
