15th September 2008 WOW: Wrath of the Lich King ships on DVD format only
- Blizzard has revealed that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King won't be released on PC CD, it will only be available to consumers that have a DVD drive installed on their PC when it launches on November 13th. See here for more.
15th September 2008 World of Warcraft: Wrath of Lich King release set for November 13th!
- Blizzard Entertainment confirmed today that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King will arrive in stores on November 13th in North America, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Russia, and November 14 in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. The expansion will be available in Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on November 18th. See the press release.
10th September 2008 – World of Warcraft is "actually still growing", no new milestones yet
- In January of this year Blizzard's subscription count for World of Warcraft hit the 10 million mark, and despite the emergence of rival MMOs it's still swelling. Lich King lead designer Tom Chilton reckons the release of the upcoming expansion will certainly bump the numbers again, when ever that eventually is. Head to Strategy Informer for more.
29th August 2008 –WoW Stratics announces a new WoW webcomic: Emissary!
- WoW Stratics (http://wow.stratics.com) is proud to announce and launch a new webcomic titled "Emissary" written and drawn by webcomic artist Barry T. Smith of Inktank and Angst Technology fame (http://inktank.com). You can check out the Emissary every Monday at http://wowcomic.stratics.com.
