Lore

Despite Quel'thalas' decision to withdraw from the Alliance, high elven priests went to serve the Alliance as healers of their human and dwarven allies on the battlefield, despite the edicts of their reclusive masters. They also fought alongside the high elves in Quel'thalas, in an attempt to fend off Arthas and his invasion of their capital, Silvermoon. Shortly after their people's conversion, the blood elven priests served their people and their newfound allies as healers on the battlefield under the leadership of Kael'thas Sunstrider.

From Priest at Battle.net:

A holy field medic, these padres roam the battlefield curing the wounds of fallen comrades.
