Prowl is the druid's Stealth ability. It must be active to enable Pounce.
Rank table
Since patch 3.3.0, this skill no longer has multiple ranks. This skill can be trained after learning Cat Form and speed is reduced by 30% while it is in use.
Talent improvement
Feral Instinct reduces the chance of detection while Prowling.
Tips and tactics
- When coupled with abilities such as Ravage and Pounce, Prowl is a powerful opener to combat.
- Night Elves can switch from Prowl to Shadowmeld without being seen "in between". However, they cannot switch from Shadowmeld to Prowl without a 1.5 global cooldown from Cat Form.
- It is possible to Dash while Prowling, for a total of 105% standard running speed.
- Prowl makes Stealth runs possible, but watch out for stealth-detecting mobs!
Patch changes
- Patch 3.3.0 (PTR): This ability no longer has multiple ranks and penalizes movement speed by 30%.
