Pyromaniac is a mage talent that increases critical strike chance of all Fire spells by 1% per point, up to 3% at max rank, and allows part of your mana regeneration to continue while casting, up to 50%. This talent is popular with fire-specced mages, especially PvE raid mages, as it improves damage per second (DPS) while also improving damage per mana (DPM).
Other talents that increase spell critical strike chance are Critical Mass by up to 6% for fire spells, Arcane Instability by up to 3% for all spells, and Arcane Potency up to 30% for all spells when clearcasting (through Arcane Concentration).
