Quel'Danil Lodge [31, 48] is the larger of two high elf outposts in Lordaeron and is situated in the Hinterlands. This high elf hunter’s lodge is near Aerie Peak. Saldor Shallowbrook, an aged, placid high elf oversees the lodge.LoC 100 It acts as an embassy of sorts to continue the remaining high elves' diplomatic relations with other races. Roughly 650-800 high elves live in the Hinterlands,LoC 98 many living in Aerie Peak while others live here. Jalinde Summerdrake is assumed to be one of its leaders. They are referred to as "Highvale high elves".[1]
In Thalassian, the elven language, Quel’Danil means "High Peak".LoC 100
Prior to the release of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the elf models used here were palette-changed night elf models. Since then, they have been replaced with high elf models.

Quests to start
Inside the lodge is a Witherbark troll named Rin'ji. Speaking to him begins an escort quest from Quel'Danil Lodge southward to Hiri'Watha. After finishing the escort portion of the quest, head to the island east of the Overlook Cliffs. There will be Rin'ji's Secret.
