A Better Ingredient is the Druid class-specific Sunken Temple Quest. It is a long quest chain that yields a very good rare item for its level.

Objectives

Retrieve a Putrid Vine from the guardian at the bottom of the Sunken Temple and return to Torwa Pathfinder.

Quest Text

It is as I feared -- the toxin is simply too weak for such a powerful creature.

If we are to create a toxin of high enough potency, you must venture to the bottom of the Temple of Atal'Hakkar, unlock the secrets of the altar and recover a putrid vine from the guardian there. The temple is dangerous, and it would behoove you to bring friends.

Return to me when this is done.

Reward

You will be able to choose one of these rewards:

Grizzled Pelt Binds when picked up Leather Chest 151 Armor +17 Strength +16 Agility +11 Stamina Durability 100 / 100

Forest's Embrace Binds when picked up Leather Chest 151 Armor +8 Intellect +7 Spirit Durability 100 / 100 Equip: Increases healing done by up to 55 and damage done by up to 19 for all magical spells and effects.

Moonshadow Stave Binds when picked up Staff Two-Hand Speed 3.70 133 - 200 Damage (45.0 damage per second) Durability 100 / 100 Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 18. Equip: Restores 7 mana per 5 sec. Equip: Increases your spell critical strike rating by 14.

Additional notes

• The Putrid Vine drops off Atal'alarion, a guardian at the bottom of the Temple of Atal'hakkar. In order for him to spawn, you need to click on the altars in a specific sequence.
