The Celestial Orb is Mage-only off hand item that gives a bonus to intellect and can restore mana.

The Celestial Orb is a quest reward from the Mage quest Mana Surges which starts with Tabetha in Dustwallow Marsh.
Notes
- This item has a 30-minute cooldown.
- Since it is an off hand item, it can be equipped or unequipped during combat. A good strategy is to equip it right before a long boss fight (there is a 30-second timer before you can actually use it), use it once you've burned through around 1200 mana, and then switch back to your regular staff/offhand. This makes the Celestial Orb useful even at high levels in a raid environment. Basically it's 400-1200 mana on its own timer, which remains useful for a very long time.

- Patch 1.4.0 (2005-04-19): No longer triggers the cooldowns of a Mage's mana gems. Mana gems are now on their own unique cooldown category.
