Objectives
Take the Battered Tribal Shield to Aponi Brightmane on Elder Rise within Thunder Bluff.
[Battered Tribal Shield] (Provided)
Description
The fight's been hard up here, <Class>, as I'm sure you know. We're holding out, but not everyone has gone unscathed.
A warrior in our band, Aponi Brightmane, was taken ill by an infected wound in her arm. She's been taken back to Thunder Bluff for recuperation. It seems she left her shield here at the front in the confusion, however - could you take it to her, along with our well-wishes? Her smile is missed around here.
You can find her on Elder Rise on the Bluff.
Progress
Oh! Hello there. I don't think we've met; is there something I can do for you?
Completion
Oh, my shield! I won't be using it anytime soon, but thank you. I hate that I'm sitting here useless when I could be helping on the front, but fighting with my arm like this won't help anyone.
Take care out there, won't you?
Rewards
Upon completion of this quest you will gain:
- 5150 XP (or 1
86
at level 80)
- 54
Notes
- The quest appears to be a dead end, but if you stay for a while, Aponi will start one of two conversations with the druid taking care of her, Tahu Sagewind. It focusses on how today's Tauren druids simply adopted Night Elf druidism, although they have their own ancient druidic roots which are nearly forgotten. Sagewind notes that while the Tauren are willing to accept instruction in the druidic arts from the night elves, they have not adopted the worship of Elune, who is represented by the moon in Night Elf culture. He wants to extend the moon-based Night Elf approach towards the sun, as the celestial bodies are the eyes of the Earthmother in Tauren belief.
- This may be an introductory quest to Tauren using the powers of the sun similar to how priests and paladins use the Light, two classes that will be available to Tauren in the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion.
