Objectives

Recover twenty Crystallized Azsharite from southern Azshara. You may use the Felhound to assist you in 'sniffing' out the location of cleverly hidden deposits.

Return to Loramus when the task is complete.

Details

You're going to be collecting the big blue crystals on the southern 'claw' in Azshara. When you accept the quest, you'll get a [Felhound Tracker Kit], which contains a [Fel Tracker Owner's Manual] and a [Fel Orb]. Open the kit quickly, because it has a 10 minute limit. There's a several-hour timer (and 5 uses) on the orb and no timer on the manual.

Read the manual (it's quite amusing as well as informative)!

Most of the Azsharite formations look like big blue crystals, but some of them have a humanoid shape. These are actually digested remains of previous travellers eaten by the cliff giants, and Crystallized Notes can be found inside them as well as azsharite.

If you /roar at your Tracker and it growls back without going anywhere, then there's no Azsharite in its range. You can use the orb multiple times to summon multiple trackers, but there's no practical reason to do so. You can even use the orb, then abandon the quest to get a new orb. Don't try that after you get your crystals, though. Also, the trackers disappear if you zone^{[citation needed]}, and the orb can't be used outside of Azshara, so you can't use them to do a warlock impersonation.

Description

The ancient cliff giants of the southern region of Azshara consume the rock and buildings of the land for sustenance. The excrement from their consumption is a highly malleable and extremely strong crystal known as Azsharite.

The formations litter the southern arc, but few are ever recovered due to the extremely violent nature of the giants.

You are to venture south and recover enough of the Azsharite for the creation of the weapon's body. My felhounds will aid in the recovery of the crystal.

Progress

Evil does not sleep, fool. You will have time for rest when you are finally dead. Now bring me those crystals.

Completion

Your tasks in Azshara are complete, mortal. I must now forge the necessary components for the next step in your adventure.
