Objectives

Plant the Stonemaul Banner near the entrance to Onyxia's Lair, then return to Brogg at Mudsprocket.

Description

Brogg is relishes the thought of taking his revenge on the black dragonkin of the marsh. <name>, you have been very helpful in preparing for this moment. Will you help?

Take Brogg's clan banner and travel east until you see a cave like a dragon's mouth. At the entrance to that cave, plant [Stonemaul Banner] and issue Brogg's challenge to Onyxia.

Brogg and Stonemaul will have their lands back!

Brogg suspected Onyxia would be too much of a coward to confront you. Just like black dragonflight to attack when victory guaranteed.

Notes

Stand directly in front of the entrance to Onyxia's Lair when you plant the [Stonemaul Banner]. A level 41 drake (Smolderwing) will spawn and fly out from the cave, you must defeat it to get quest credit. Note that you need to be outside the cave. If the text above your mini map reads "Onyxia's Lair" you are too far inside.

As of 12/15/07 the quest is bugged so that if someone starts the quest but does not kill Smolderwing no one else will be able to summon him unless a GM despawns him.
