This quest starts the  [Draconic For Dummies: Volume II] portion of the  [Blue Scepter Shard] fork of  [The Scepter of the Shifting Sands] quest chain, to open the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. Players must have completed  [60] Translating the Ledger before   Narain Soothfancy will offer this quest.

Objectives

Find Narain Soothfancy's book, buried on an island in the South Seas.

Description

I knew that book would come in handy some day! Thankfully, I had the wit and foresight to stow it somewhere safe.

Don't worry, it's in a place that nobody could ever hope to find it! I needed a gyrocopter just to get there the first time. Unfortunately I crashed it on the beach on my way back. It was through that accident that I gained these super-gnomish psychic powers!

Look for my crashed gyrocopter somewhere on Land's End Beach and swim south from there! You'll know the spot when you see it!

Notes

In order to complete this quest, a short side quest is necessary. As the island that the Freshly Dug Dirt is on is in the Fatigue waters southeast of Land's End Beach, so there must be some way to increase swim speed so players aren't forced to suffer several unnecessary deaths.

Fortunately,   Meridith the Mermaiden is in the waters just off the beach. Talk to her and she offers a one-off quest,  [60] Love Song for Narain that has you deliver her love letter to Narain. After Narain predictably stammers out a "no", talk to her again and she will buff you with a swim speed increase buff. Use this buff to swim to the island before the Fatigue timer runs out.

Completion

The book is gone! On top of the dirt mound is a note.
