Prerequisites

You must complete Horde Crest [2] The Damned before you can access this quest.

Objectives

Bring Samuel Fipps' Remains to Marla's Grave, then return to Novice Elreth.

Required items:

Description

My friend Marla Fipps lived with her husband Samuel before the plague, but when the plague came Samuel succumbed and joined the Scourge's ranks.

Marla was spared an undeath only to die at the hands of her now mindless husband. So strong was her love, however, that her last dying wish was to be buried with her beloved Samuel.

Samuel Fipps roams at a ruined camp along the road northeast of Deathknell. Defeat him and grant Marla's wish: bury him at her grave, in the first row of our graveyard.

Details

  1. Go down the road (north) from the starting area in Deathknell, through the part of the town infested with Scourge undead.
  2. The road curves to the right; the camp is on the right shortly past the curve (36,61).
  3. Samuel Fipps tends to hide behind the wagon with the big barrel.
  4. Kill him - attacking him won't aggro the others nearby.
  5. Loot his corpse to pick up Samuel's Remains.
  6. Return to the starting area. As soon as you reach the wood pike "fence", turn right. Go through the gates into the cemetery.
It's important to note that there are two graveyards in Deathknell - one by the crypt where you spawned as a level one undead character, and one by the church where you picked up this quest. Marla's grave in the graveyard by the church.
  7. Turn left and look for a grave with a mound of dirt on it (31,65).
  8. Put the cursor over the dirt; it should change to the action cursor (looks like a gear). Right click the dirt to bury Samuel's Remains.

Progress

We must respect our dead, <name>. It is one of the ways in which we differ from the Scourge

Completion

You have done a good deed today, <name>. Although our struggle against the Scourge continues, let us hope that Marla and Samuel will find peace together in their final resting place.
