How to Get This Quest

Diktynna is on the beach of Ammen Ford - if you are taking the road from Ammen Vale to Azure Watch, you can't miss her.

Objectives

Use the [Draenei Fishing Net] to catch 10 [Red Snappers]. Return both the fish and the net to Diktynna on Azuremyst Isle when the task is complete.

Details

Once you start the quest, take your [Draenei Fishing Net] to the river. Look for Schools of Red Snapper. Walk/swim up to the school and right click the net to collect [Red Snappers]. Occasionally a Murloc will spawn where you use the net - if you kill it, it will drop a snapper.

Description

I've found that these waters are bustling with red snapper, a very tasty fish. With a fishing net, I can catch enough to feed dozens of draenei! Unfortunately, I was recently attacked by a creature known as a murloc while netting in the river and have suffered some injuries that prevent me from doing my job. I need help!

Use this fishing net near schools of red snapper, found in the Crystalbrook river to the east to catch the fish.

What do you say? Remember to return the net when you are finished.

Progress

Watch out for murlocs: Strange and extremely annoying little creatures.

Completion

I hope the murlocs didn't cause too much trouble, <name>. I owe you a great debt of gratitude for all that you've done.

Perhaps I could teach you how to fish? I'll even supply the fishing pole and a bauble.

Notes

  • The title of the quest is a reference to a line from the 1989 "Weird Al" Yankovic movie, "UHF". In the movie, karate master "Kuni" (Gedde Watanabe) hosts a peculiar game show named "Wheel of Fish" -- a spoof of "Wheel of Fortune" -- in which contestants play for fish instead of money. Watanabe delivers the line enthusiastically when the returning champion spins a red snapper on her first try, but then calls her, "Stupid! You're so stupid!" -- his tag line in the movie -- when she trades the snapper for what turns out to be an empty box.
