It pains me to know that both Tyranis and Dalinda didn't return, but the embarrassment of Tyranis' decisions is hers to endure. It is something she will have to deal with when she returns to Darnassus.

You are escorting Dalinda out of the fortress - out of the building you find her in, out the front gates, and a bit down the path. You may be able to clear a path ahead of her before starting this quest.
Dalinda will only stop when she is attacked. You should let her lead, to ensure she stops while you take care of whatever threat is in her way.
