This quest concludes the  [Blue Scepter Shard] fork of  [The Scepter of the Shifting Sands] quest chain to open the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. Objectives

Use the Arcanite Buoy at the Swirling Maelstrom at the Bay of Storms in Azshara.

Description

Did I mention the bad news yet? Its name is Maws: 100 feet of death and destruction. I guess I may have forgotten that little tidbit.

According to my superior psycho-psionic clairvoyance, you'll find that the best spot to cast this buoy is off the coast of Azshara, in the Bay of Storms.

Look for a swirling maelstrom, most likely cluttered with wreckage.

By the by, I hope you have friends.

Now if you somehow miraculously succeed, take the scepter shard to Anachronos.

Reward

You will be able to choose one of these rewards

Band of Icy Depths Binds when picked up Unique Finger +19 Stamina +20 Frost Resistance Requires Level 60 Equip: Allows underwater breathing.

Darkwater Robes Binds when picked up Cloth Chest 134 Armor +17 Intellect +17 Stamina +30 Fire Resistance Durability 100 / 100 Requires Level 60 Equip: Increases damage done by Frost spells and effects by up to 39.
