Notes

• Completing this quest sets in motion the monster known as  Stitches, who approaches along the road from Raven Hill Cemetery to Darkshire, pausing along the way to kill the guards who oppose it. Only one Stitches NPC spawns at a time; if he is already spawned from a previous completion and has not died yet, he will not be spawned upon completion of the quest, but the guards still talk as if he was about to appear.
• As of Cataclysm, Abercombie now rides on  Stitches' shoulders^{[citation needed]} coming south from the road leading up to Beggar's Haunt instead of north from the road leading to Raven Hill. The whole town of Darkshire seems to be abandoned except for a few guards attacking the creature and most of the buildings are on fire during the entire quest.

Trivia

After completing the quest, the hole town is all of a sudden restored like it was before and there's no mention of any rebuilding of the town or anything like that by anyone afterwards.
