Deliver the letter to King Varian Wrynn of the Alliance at Stormwind Keep at Stormwind City.

Description

You are now, and forever will be, a Knight of the Ebon Blade, <name>, but know this: you were once a hero of the Alliance.

<Darion stares at you.>

This order must establish allies for itself if it is to survive. You must represent the Knights of the Ebon Blade to the Alliance.

On the platform, southeast of me, is a portal to Stormwind City. Take this letter, given to me on your behalf by Lord Fordring, and deliver it to King Varian Wrynn. Use the portal.

Were it not for this letter from Tirion, you would be a stain upon my floor. Only an endorsement from one of the greatest paladins to ever live could have ensured your survival.

We... We will work together against the Scourge. Against the Lich King!

Notes

Players will find themselves outside the gates of a very unfriendly Stormwind, even squirrels cower in fear. Any and all NPCs will show their displeasure and call for a rope or spit or throw rotten food. Varian Wrynn himself warns players that they have seconds to live due to his curiosity before they hand him Fordring's letter.

On completion:

King Varian Wrynn yells: People of Stormwind! Citizens of the Alliance! Your king speaks!

King Varian Wrynn yells: Today marks the first of many defeats for the Scourge! Death knights, once in service of the Lich King, have broken free of his grasp and formed a new alliance against his tyranny!

King Varian Wrynn yells: You will welcome these former heroes of the Alliance and treat them with the respect that you would give any ally of Stormwind!
