The overseer did nothing to stop your imaginary revolt, so she too must die!

This quest is part of the Burning Legion of Blade's Edge quest chain.

Objectives

Kill Doomcryer and report back to Wildlord Antelarion at Ruuan Weald.

Description

Doomcryer did nothing to stop the revolt? How dare she! She has been trying to undermine my authority for sometime. However, this time will be her last. You must summon her and deal with her personally.

Her anger guards hold the keys that summon her to camp anger. Retrieve the five keys and activate the five Legion obelisks. The obelisk have a short duration, so make sure there are all activated at the same time. Remember, the anger guards carry more keys.

Progress

Are you looking to join my list of those expendable? Get those keys and silence Doomcryer!

Completion

That is great news, great news indeed <name>. I could not have asked for a better outcome. Your service to our people is most greatly appreciated, choose one of the following heroic items.

Your name will forever be remembered in our peoples heart.

Rewards

You will be able to choose one of these rewards:
  • You will also receive: 7g 80s

Gains

Notes

Pretty standard "tank and spank" Boss. Solo Kiteable.

To summon her, as the quest says, kill Anger Guards until you have enough keys, and use the keys on the obelisks. The drop rate on the keys is 100%.

If doing this solo, clear an area near the teleporter to the right (as you face the ramp up to the camp), then activate the obelisks as quickly as possible and move over to the right. She will walk out and toward the ramp, pull her to the area you cleared. If you lose, you should have enough time to run back from the graveyard at least once for another try.

She has a fairly nasty Curse of Burning Shadows, that does 275 per tick. Hard to remove, as she puts it right back on.

If you are warlock, enslave her and DoT when she has low hp.

This quest chain involves sowing confusion among the Burning Legion at Forge Camp: Anger in Blade's Edge Mountains.

This quest chain starts when you find a [Damaged Mask] off of a defeated Fel Corrupter. (See N [20-30] Culling the Wild.)

While one will eventually discover that the Burning Legion is also on the plateaus of Ogri'la, the Burning Legion presence at Forge Camp: Anger is the only one accessible without a flying mount.

Part 1: Who was that masked man?

You take the mask to O'Mally Zapnabber, a gnome in Ruuan Weald. (Inv helmet 31 [Damaged Mask]) O'Mally manages to fix it, and tells you it is a Burning Legion communication device, and suggests you take it to Wildlord Antelarion. (N [20-30] Mystery Mask)

The Wildlord recognizes it as a [Felsworn Gas Mask]! With this, you could sow chaos in Forge Camp: Anger! He asks you to infiltrate the camp, get to the communicator, and see what you can convince the demon on the far end of. Say, a revolt or something... {Inv helmet 31 [Felsworn Gas Mask])

At the Legion Communicator in Forge Camp: Anger, you talk to *something* on the other end. (Isn't it great that your face is hidden by the mask?) Fortunately, the demon on the other end is distracted by your tale of revolt. So guess what? You get to slaughter indiscriminately, and on their own orders! (N [20-30] Deceive thy Enemy)

You "put down the revolt" and get back to the demonic answering service. Only then does it occur to them that they HAD someone here who should be doing the talking: Doomcryer.

Since Doomcryer did nothing to stop the "revolt" (a true statement), and had a history of undermining authority, they want her done in. And guess who gets to do it! She has a security system, though, that requires 5 keys being turned, one for each Legion Obelisk. Do that, and she gets summoned.

You collect the keys, summon Doomcryer, and (between you and your allies) defeat her.

You return to Wildlord Antelarion to report your success. (N [68] You're Fired!)

Part 2: Death's Door

The reward for a job well done is another job, of course. Forge Camp: Anger was a threat, yes. But a bigger threat is the legion camp at Death's Door.

The Wildlord sends you there with a flare to summon the Evergrove Druid, the Cenarion agent on site. (Death's Door)

The Evergrove Druid is quite happy to see you, as the situation is getting out of control. You need to destroy the two warp gates that are bringing more of the Burning Legion through. But to do that, you first have to grab some of their ammunition. (N [20-30G] Harvesting the Fel Ammunition)

The Evergrove Druid is able to enchant the ammunition (by "Naturalizing" it, potent against unnatural forces) and sends you and the Spell nature elementalshields [Naturalized Ammunition] to take control of the camp's Fel Cannons to destroy the gates.

It takes a few shots from each cannon to destroy each gate. While you were at it, the gates started spewing kamikazi imps, and turn the cannon on them as well.

Two demolished gates (and a lot of fun) later, you report back to the druid. (N [20-30] Fire At Will!)

You've destroyed the gates, but the person who maintained the portal ritual is still around: Baelmon the Hound-Master. The Evergrove Druid recognizes that you won't be able to defeat him alone, so he loans you an Inv misc branch 01 [Evergrove Wand], that will summon allies for the fight.

You manage to defeat Baelmon, and return to Wildlord Antelarion to report success. Oh, and to turn in the Inv misc branch 01 [Evergrove Wand] and Spell fire flare [Druid Signal].

Congratulations! You've a hero of Evergrove!

... and are rewarded accordingly. (N [20-30] The Hound-Master)

Rewards

The end of part 1 (N [68] You're Fired!) gets you one of a set of some fairly ordinary quest-reward type items:

Inv bracer 12 [Ruuan Weald Wristguards] Inv misc cape 17 [Evergrove Ranger's Cloak]
Inv jewelry necklace 01 [Expedition Pendant] Inv jewelry ring 58 [Wildlord's Band]

The end of part 2 (N [20-30] The Hound-Master) gets you your choice from among some much more interesting necklaces:

Inv jewelry necklace 32 [Natasha's Arcane Filament] Inv jewelry necklace 36 [Natasha's Battle Chain]
Inv jewelry necklace 34 [Natasha's Choker] Inv jewelry necklace 35 [Natasha's Ember Necklace]
Inv jewelry necklace 31 [Natasha's Guardian Cord] Inv jewelry necklace 33 [Natasha's Pack Collar]

The full quest line also gets you +1950 Cenarion Expedition reputation.

Notes

Note that the mask only lasts for an hour. If it expires, you will need to go back to the Wildlord to have him make you a new one.
