The quest line dependency is not quite right. I have only just completed [The Scrimshank Redemption] as a level 52 Rogue, but have also completed [Insect Analysis]. At some point, these chains must run in parallel. I think the dependency for this chain is on [Noxious Lair Investigation] which sends you to [Alchemist Pestlezugg], which is where this leg starts.
