Most players on RPPvP realms don't actually Role Play, choosing instead to PvP and ignore most to all RP rules. The most common response to the question "Why not go to a PvP server instead?" is that they "Prefer the Maturity of RP servers." While this answer is flattering, it does not help the fact that most players do not encounter actual RP until the higher levels. However, as the only alternative to dealing with the vast amount of PvPers is reporting every 9/10ths of their server, most RPers feel that the situation cannot be helped. Another common reason for that kind of behavior is a misconception that RP policies on RP-PvP realms are less strict than on normal RP realms, which is completely false.
