Alossard
−
Raid Bosses are bosses which require a raid to defeat at level 60, and are depicted by Skulls in the place of their levels. These raids may be anywhere from 10-mans to 40-mans, or they may be world bosses that aren't found in an instance, allowing an unlimited amount of players to challenge them (although only one group will get credit for the kill). It has been said that once the Burning Crusade is released, the 40-man boss Ragnaros would only require about 15 to 20 people at level 70. With this in mind, it is likely that many current 10- to 20-man bosses should be 5-mannable, and may have their "skull" tag removed.

Hello, I'm Alossard, an 85 orc hunter from the Scryers (US). Most of my life has been based on succeeding in meeting new allies and seek information to surpass my knowledge. I've experience Azeroth for as long as I can remember, stretching back from the war against Ragnaros and his armies in the molten core, the war against the Twilight's Hammer. Most people think of me as an outcast, but I treat myself as a hero.

History - The Beginning
Azuregos
  +
It's not easy being tossed away at a young age, and soon becoming an adult and join the Horde of Orgrimmar. Melee was never my specialty, and I could never cast even the simplest of spells. Most mocked and toyed with me on how weak I was, but then I found it, my true calling. I found a bent twig, pulled some string from my pocket, tied it to the twig, and made a bow. I sharpened some stones and tied them to smaller twigs, using those as arrows. When I took my first shot, I hit the clutch of bananas off a nearby tree. I wanted to prove that I hate a great shot using ranged weapons. I ran to Orgrimmar and find a person who was the only trainer who knew about bows, a Hunter trainer. I found my trainer and spoke to him, after catching my breath, to ask him if I was truly destined to be a hunter. I picked up the bow and arrows that I made and shot at the target in the edge of the barracks, and the trainer was impressed at first, but then frowned when I heard the words,"You need a pet, young orc." I have proven that I was capable of the shot, but I needed my pet. I traveled far and wide across Durotar, but I had no luck of taming such a beast that was compatible. Soon I came to realize, Durotar had no pets of my skill and level. I soon traveled to the Barrens in hope of finding a beast to tame. I was exploring the northern plains of the Barrens above Ratchet, when something caught my eye. I threw myself behind some shrubs and peeked over, seeing the horde-legendary lion, Humar the Pridelord. I took a few moments of breath before I would have the guts to leap out of the bushes and charge over to tame him. I wasn't long before I was overwhelmed by the beasts power, and pinned me on the ground, standing on my chest. We both looked into each others eyes for a long time, when he soon stopped growling, leaped off, and sat down in front of me. I was nervous to reach over and see what would happen, until I shut my eyes for a moment, and felt his mane rub againt my palm. I was then, that I had everything I needed to complete my destiny, A bow with ammo, skill, and a very faithful companion. I prayed from that day forth, I would become the greatest hunter that ever lived past Kalimdor, past the Eastern Kingdoms, and become the greatest hunter, on Azeroth.

The most powerful known Dragonspawn in the world, Razorgore serves no master but himself. However, the dragon Nefarian found a way around that, creating a powerful orb that would allow the Blackrock Clan to control Razorgore, and uses the Dragonspawn to defend a clutch of Chromatic dragon eggs. He is the first boss in Blackwing Lair. The encounter involves using the orb to make Razorgore destroy the eggs, all while fighting off 40 other Orcs and Dragonspawn. It is known as one of the most chaotic encounters in the game, if not the most. Drops all Tier 2 bracers.<br clear=right>

Religious leader of the Qiraji and author of the Prophecy of C'Thun, the Prophet Skeram is the first boss in Ahn'Qiraj. Creates two mirror images of himself at 25% health intervals, and both the images and himself can Blink, Earth Shock, and Arcane Explosion. He also casts True Fulfillment on random targets, mind controlling them while increasing their damage, movement and resistance, and making their spells instant-cast.<br clear=right>

−

−
Blackwing Lair (40)<br>

−
Vaelastrasz the Red was the keeper of the red shard of the Scepter of the Shifting Sands. He had sworn to destroy the dragon Nefarian, but lost the battle inside Blackwing Lair, losing the shard as a result. The raid comes upon Vaelastrasz just as Nefarian completes his corruption, and the mighty red dragon is helpless as Nefarian orders him to kill his allies. However, before the corruption is complete Vaelastrasz gives the players a buff called Essence of the Red, granting them unlimited mana, rage, and energy. However, this buff only last three minutes, and is crucial to the encounter. The dragon will also give players Burning Adrenaline, which makes all their spells instant cast but also eventually kills them. Drops all Tier 2 belts.<br clear=right>

One of the three optional Silithid Colossi found in Ahn'Qiraj, players must fight Vem at the same time as Lord Kri and Princess Yauj. Loot received from the encounter depends on the order the Colossi are killed in, and killing Vem last is the easiest method and yields the lowest quality loot. Vem can charge his opponents.<br clear=right>

Viscidus
−
Ahn'Qiraj (40)<br>

−
A giant Slime, Viscidus is the second optional encounter in Ahn'Qiraj, and is a highly Nature Resistance intensive fight. Not only that, but he is a very interesting fight as well. He normally takes only 50% of normal damage. However, if he is hit by enough Frost attacks (whatever the source), he will freeze. Once frozen, physical attackers move in and attack him until he shatters, exploding into 20 globs. Once these globs reunite, Viscidus appears again. Killing a glob deals 5% damage to his total health, and is the most efficient way of killing him. Drops the bindings required for the AQ Set boots and shoulder pieces.<br clear=right>
