Ram mounts are almost exclusively Alliance only mounts.

Factional mounts: Apprentice
These mounts give a 60% speed increase on land. You can purchase these mounts from 
Veron Amberstill <Ram Breeder> at Amberstill Ranch, east of Ironforge in northern Dun Morogh so long as your character has riding skill of 75 (obtainable at level 20). If you are playing as any race other than a Dwarf, you will also need to have Exalted reputation with Ironforge.
Factional mounts: Journeyman
These mounts give a 100% speed increase on land. You can purchase these mounts from Veron Amberstill <Ram Breeder> at Amberstill Ranch, east of Ironforge in northern Dun Morogh so long as your character has riding skill of 150 (obtainable at level 40), and are restricted similarly to the apprentice mounts above.
Other Ram mounts
PvP Rams
The Black War Ram is available from Lieutenant Karter <Mount Merchant> in Stormwind for marks of honor from the Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin, and Warsong Gulch battlegrounds. You do not need to have exalted reputation with Ironforge to purchase it.
The Stormpike Battle Charger is available from Gaelden Hammersmith in Alterac Valley and Thanthaldis Snowgleam in Alterac Mountains for 50 Alterac Valley Marks of Honor.
Argent Tournament
These following Rams can be purchased from the Argent Tournament. You must have completed 
Champion of Ironforge or be a dwarf to gain access to this quartermaster.
Brewfest Rams
During Brewfest 2007, an ["Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp] could be purchased from Belbi Quikswitch in Dun Morogh or 
Blix Fixwidget in Durotar for 600 
, which allowed players to buy a [Brewfest Ram] (normal) or [Swift Brewfest Ram] (epic). This mount is ridable by all races and factions, including tauren.
The epic version now drops from Coren Direbrew in Blackrock Depths during the annual Brewfest event. The slower mount was still obtainable in 2009, but only to those who had purchased the hand stamp in 2007.
Discontinued and exceptional mounts
These used the old Ram mounts graphics, and can be exchanged for the newer variety if desired.
