Recklessness

Overview
The main danger with Berserking is losing control. Anger is a weapon like any other; powerful in the right hands, and dangerous in the wrong hands. As the Berserker becomes ever more familiar with the Red Mist, complacency can set in, and the ever-present precipice of bestial madness looms closer and closer...
Functionality
Recklessness is a warrior self-buff ability, that costs 0 Rage. It increases the warrior's Critical Chance to 100%, increases Damage taken by 20% and grants immunity to Fear effects. It lasts 15 seconds and takes 30 minutes to cooldown.
Available in Berserker Stance only.
| Rank | Rage Cost | Duration | Level | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rank 1 | 0 | 15 seconds | 50 | 4 |
Notes
This is the Berserk Stance panic button, and shares the same cooldown timer as Shield Wall and Retaliation, 30 mins. With that kind of timer, it pays to carefully consider which of the three is most appropriate for a given emergency.
Recklessness is a fight-finisher, causing a 15s chain of near-guaranteed critical hits*. To get the most out of it, be ready to use lots of instant attacks and other skills in order to maximize damage. In a boss fight, the best time to use Recklessness is generally when the boss mob is down below 20% health so that you can use Execute. It is suggested you get to 100% rage before using the first execute, to maximize your damage. Not one to use if you are Main Tanking, as the extra damage taken will rapidly make matters worse faster than the criticals can take the enemies out. Let the DPS do the damage if you're tanking.
(Note that a 100% chance to score a critical hit does not mean that all attacks will hit your enemy, or even be critical hits*. An attack made under Recklessness will still have the same chance to result in a miss, dodge, parry, or glancing blow as the same attack made without Recklessness; see the Attack table article.)
The Fear protection is of limited value in itself; it is generally better to rely on the immunity from Berserker Rage and Death Wish instead, as this refreshes much faster.
Like Shield Wall and Retaliation, the 30 minute cooldown means this ability is not available often enough to be a major factor in an instance, but is an almost guaranteed winner in any quick fight. It can also turn the tide in a close boss fight.
Synergies well with Sweeping Strikes, Death Wish, Enrage, and Flurry.
- - This talent is completely neutralized by Blessed Resilience, for Recklessness increases your crit chance by 100%, and Blessed Resilience reduces the attacker's crit chance by 1000% [1][2] (confirmed by a GM) [3]
