Earn an Exclusive Zhevra Mount with the New Recruit-a-Friend!

Posted by: Frost | 8-05-08[1]

With the new Recruit-A-Friend program you can earn an exclusive Zhevra mount, receive a FREE month of game time, and gain access to other exciting in-game benefits. From the moment your friend creates a character and starts playing you'll both earn triple the experience when grouped together and have the ability to summon one another from anywhere in the world. Also, for every two levels of experience your friend earns, they can grant one level of experience to one of your lower-level characters.

In addition:

  • RaF will expire 90 days down to the minute that it began, not after three months.
    • Any reference to when it ends is based on GMT. This can lead to confusion if someone starts RaF at 10pm Eastern Standard time, which would be 3am GMT the next day. The account page will state that RaF expires the day after it really does.
  • In addition to triple experience, RaF gives bonus rep for some factions. Kills that give rep for the goblin factions as well as Argent Dawn will give an extra .5 rep per kill.
  • RaF allows summoning without problems through level 59 and doesn't allow it at all for characters 61+. Summoning level 60 characters can be iffy though. At times, you can successfully summon multiple times in a row, others may have multiple failures. A failure can be worked around by having the summoner begin the summoning process immediately after the character being summoned has used a hearthstone. There appears to be a couple of second window after the hearthstone is finished where a summon can successfully begin, if it has had a problem.
  • When granting levels, the receiving character will keep the same percentage of experience gained, not the same amount of exp. A character at 20.5, when gifted with a level to 21, will be at 21.5. If gifted 10 more levels, he would be at 31.5 One tip is to level a character to 59.9 before granting a level to 60.
  • Each character on the account that was recruited can grant levels. If you level four characters to 60 via RaF, you will have well over 100 levels to grant.

Notes

  • The triple XP earned from killing monsters will not stack with rest XP. Rest XP will not be used, it will continue to build up like normal and only be used if the conditions for receiving triple XP are not met.
  • The 10% bonus from killing monsters on the Heirloom Shoulder items does stack with the triple XP.
  • Levels can't be granted past level 60.
  • For each 2 levels the refered account gains, you may be granted 1 level in return. (A refered account that has leveled a character to lvl 60 may grant you up to 29 levels)
