Notes

  • Doesn't heal as much as Healing Touch, but takes less time to cast.
  • Until you get Lifebloom at level 64, Regrowth will be your most mana-efficient healing spell. See Comparison of Druid Healing for details.
  • This is a hybrid direct-heal and Heal-over-time spell. The direct-heal portion of the spell can crit for 1.5x normal effect, but the heal-over-time portion will not be affected by the crit.
  • The direct-heal portion of regrowth gains ~30% of your + healing while the Heal-over-time receives an additional 70% of + healing for a total benefit of approximately 100% of your + healing.
  • The total net Threat is not reduced by using a heal-over-time versus an immediate-heal spell, but it can avoid generating a dramatic spike of mob hate.

Tips and Tactics

  • Use it when you know you don't have enough time to cast Healing Touch
  • This is pretty handy if multiple group members are taking aggro as you can pop one of these on the MT along with a rejuvenation which will keep his health topped up long enough to heal everyone else (Rank 9 regrowth coupled with Rank 10 rejuvenation will tick at +227). However depending on your talents and gear this may turn mana inefficient (certainly at low levels it is).
  • On the Tree of Life form, it becomes more mana efficient. However, it is still recommended to go with a Rejuvenation/Swiftmend and (when available) Lifebloom combo to keep healing.
