Release (term)

When used as a computer software industry term, release usually refers to the state of a software product (in this case World of Warcraft) when it is ready to be released to the public and sold.

However, sometimes this term is used to distinguish a non-debug or better-tested version of software from the debug, developer-audience intended, or experimental version.
