The Ring of Blood

The Ring of Blood is a quest line given by a Goblin named Gurgthock in the very north of Nagrand, at the Laughing Skull ruins. The enterprising Gurgthock has turned an area of the ruins into a pit for some good old-fashioned deathmatches. The player starts off as an inexperienced newbie, and finds him or herself steadily pitted against more powerful foes as they win their matches. The fight only ends when one side is a red stain on the ground! Since the enemies encountered in the Ring of Blood are very powerful, this must be done in a group, preferably with a proper tank and healer.

The Ring of Blood: Brokentoe

The first quest will pit the party up against Brokentoe, an old and powerful Clefthoof.

The Ring of Blood: The Blue Brothers

After conquering Brokentoe, Gurgthock's next challenge is a pair of Lost Ones from the Murkblood tribe, calling themselves The Blue Brothers.

The Ring of Blood: Rokdar the Sundered Lord

Rokdar is a gigantic, well, giant from the Blade's Edge Mountains. He's also the third foe you'll fight. Defeating Rokdar will net you 5 Super Healing Potions and 5 Super Mana Potions in addition to the 11 Gold and XP.

The Ring of Blood: Skra'gath

The fourth challenge is an enormous Void Lord called Skra'gath. Good luck! Once you beat him, you'll get 20 Netherweave Bandages in addition to the Gold, XP, and Potions.

The Ring of Blood: The Warmaul Champion

You're in the big leagues now! The Warmaul Champion is either an Orc, Ogre, Lost One, or Ethereal-this is chosen at random. He's the hardest fight in the arena. Anybody fighting him should make sure to get in the ring, because unlike the other enemies, he walks in from the outside and will aggro anybody unlucky enough to be nearby. He hits hard, too--so be wary. Once the Champion is eating dirt, there's only one final task...

The Ring of Blood: The Final Challenge

All along, there's been an Ogre taunting the competitors. After he sees the Warmaul Champion fall, Mogor, Hero of the Warmaul decides to teach you a lesson personally! He's tough, but easier than the champion. Once you kill him, he'll Reincarnate and attack faster and a bit stronger, so be careful of that. He will use Spell nature chainlightning [Chain Lightning], so keep the party spread out.

After you beat Mogor, you can choose from one of six VERY nice weapons.

Mogor's Anointing Club Staff of Beasts Mag'hari Fury Brand Honed Voidaxe Battle Mage's Baton Ceremonial Warmaul Blood-blade

With the exception of the Honed Voidaxe and Mag'hari Fury Brand, all of these weapons seem to share graphics with items found in Naxxramas.
