Rio Duran is a worgen (in human form) quest giver located at the Shrine of Goldrinn in Mount Hyjal. She is first encountered imprisoned just down the hill^{[30, 31]}

from the shrine. During the second phase she moves to the encampment^{[28, 29]}

, and it is there that she functions as a quest giver.

Rio Duran and Ian Duran are presumably an homage to Duran Duran. Rio is actually the name of a song by that group. Rio Duran will also occasionally quote lyrics from the song Hungry Like The Wolf.
