The Riverpaw pack[1] is a pack of gnolls who are led by vicious individuals, such as the notorious Hogger and Sergeant Brashclaw. Their villainous hold over Southern Elwynn Forest is one that the forces at Westbrook Garrison seek to alleviate. From Forest's Edge, Hogger leads his Riverpaws into battle. Sergeant Brashclaw has a hold over the far reaches of Westfall. Fedfennel heads the Riverpaw presence at Stone Cairn Lake. Evidence also supports rumors that the Riverpaw may be in a loose alliance with the Defias Brotherhood. Their leaders drop a document known as [The Collector's Schedule]. This indicates that there is payment being processed between the Defias and the Riverpaws. Morgan the Collector conducts the relevant transactions of gold. Wiley the Black also reveals that the Defias are working with gnolls, kobolds, and goblins — clearly hinting at a pact between Hogger and Edwin VanCleef.

The Riverpaw have became a more ominous threat, raiding farms and human villages throughout Elwynn forest. Many speculate that the historically dimwitted Gnolls have conspired with another force, which is equipping them with weapons, tactical leadership, and magic. Though it is unclear what the Gnolls are after, the Stormwind Marshals have now realized that the creatures pose an obvious threat to the kingdom and must be eradicated.[1]

Hogger seems to be the most famous of all Warcraft gnolls, maybe second to Sayge from the Darkmoon Faire. Hogger's fame is exemplified by the amount of times players of level 5 and below have formed 40-man raids to defeat him.

Cataclysm

Cataclysm This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

After Hogger and some of his gnolls were captured, they were arrested in the Stormwind Stockade. Following to the earthquakes of the Cataclysm, Hogger and his gnolls took over a part of the Stockade.
