Rockard

From WoWWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Orcish base next to Stonard. Does not appear in World of Warcraft, but appeared in Warcraft: Orcs and Humans.

From Zone: Swamp of Sorrows at WoW.Allakhazam.com:

When the orcs first arrived from Draenor, they initially began their invasion of Azeroth in the Swamp of Sorrows. Constructing the twin towns of Rockard and Stonard, and only later Blackrock Spire, the Swamp was their base of operations from which they assaulted Goldshire, Grand Hamlet and other human towns.
Obviously, much has changed since the first war, but Stonard still remains the lone Horde outpost north of Grom'gol. The ruins of Rockard have become a haven for some of the Draenei.

There are two 'havens' for the draenei in the swamp of sorrows that may be the ruins of Rockard, the Harborage and the Fallow Sanctuary.

Speculation

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials.
It should not be taken as representing official lore!

In World of Warcraft, there are orcish ruins directly south of Nethergarde Keep in the Blasted Lands that may also be the remains of Rockard. When The Dark Portal was first opened, the entire area was considered the Black Morass, so it is possible for the remnants of Rockard to exist close to the border of the Swamp of Sorrows, and is still in close proximity to Stonard. Currently cultists occupy the area, however players can clearly see Orcish ruins in the area (towers, buildings, and a mine).
