Rune of the Stoneskin Gargoyle is a death knight rune that can be made through runeforging. It is the most often used and most recommended runeforge for DK tanks.

Note that it gives 25 defense skill, not rating. The amount of rating required to get one point of skill varies with level, but the benefit of skill is constant. At level 80, it provides the equivalent of 123 defense rating.

Patch changes

• / Patch 4.0.1 (12-Oct-2010): Now increases Stamina by 2% and Armor by 4%. 
  
• Patch 3.3.0 (08-Dec-2009): There is now a 1-handed version of this rune in addition to the current 2-handed rune. 
  
• Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): Added.
