Samir is a level 70 blacksmithing vendor located in Hatchet Hills^{[71, 69]} in the blood elven territory of the Ghostlands, in the camp right outside Zul'Aman.

Samir leads a band of bounty hunters capturing ice trolls, based out of Granite Springs^{[16.2, 47.7]} in the Grizzly Hills in Northrend, south of Drak'Tharon Keep.

Samir is now Captain Samir and leads an ill-fated expedition into Vashj'ir. He is later found within Smuggler's Scar^{[56.7, 29.8]}, a cave in Kelp'thar Forest, after being phased in via questing. He later joins the caravan that departs from Thistleshrub Valley^{[30.4, 65.6]} and travels into Uldum, only to be captured along with everyone else by pygmies. The caravan members escape their captors as part of the introductory quests to that zone. As part of the caravan, he appears to have dropped his former "Captain" title. He later can be found safe and sound within the city of Ramkahen^{[55, 34]}, working at the city's anvil alongside Blacksmith Abasi.
