Overview

Deals 50% of weapon damage and confuses target for 4 seconds. This Talent requires 21 points, and is in the Marksmanship tree.
Functionality
Uses
- If you need to gain range, you can mez the target for 4 seconds.
- If you need to interrupt a spell or ability, Scatter Shot can do it.
- When you're running somewhere and there's a mob in your way that you don't want to fight, Scatter Shot will shut him down long enough for you to run past and out of melee range. Once you're past you can either Feign Death to reset him or lay a Freezing Trap or Frost Trap to gain extra distance.
- If chasing after a mob and within range of this shot, you can use it to disorient the target long enough to lay a Freezing Trap or Frost Trap under it. This will stop it from running, allowing you time to get the kill.
- This can be used as an "extra shot" to cause additional damage; the physical damage is always dealt, even if the target is immune to the disorient
Limitations
- Fairly short range.
- The stun effect will break on damage, including DoTs.
- As of 1.12.1, ranged weapons with "on hit" procs will break scatter shot's incapacitate effect from time to time.
Range
- 15 yards (up to 21 with talents)
