These are no longer useful, as of patch 4.0.3. A Scourgestone is an item given to all Scourge upon birth or creation. It provides certain benefits to the holder, but more importantly it allows Scourge leaders visibility into the location and movement of all of their units.^[1] The Argent Dawn needs them so that paladins can turn the scourgestones into "mightstones".^{APG #?} Young members collect "scourgestones" to show their mettle.^{DF 126}

Previously, Scourgestones could be turned in to Nicholas Zverenhoff at Light's Hope Chapel, Argent Officer Garush at The Bulwark, or Argent Officer Pureheart at Chillwind Camp. However, they can no longer be collected or turned in.

Plaguelands

Undead creatures sent out by the Lich King and his forces will have a chance to carry upon them three different levels of Scourgestones. One may obtain these stones by equipping one of the following trinkets:

•  [Argent Dawn Commission] - Gained at level 50 from any Argent Dawn Quartermasters
•  [Seal of the Dawn] - Gained after completing "The Active Agent"
•  [Rune of the Dawn] - Gained after completing "The Active Agent"
•  [Mark of the Champion] - Gained after turning in the Phylactery of Kel'Thuzad
•  [Mark of the Champion] - Gained after turning in the Phylactery of Kel'Thuzad

Undead mobs, along with their living compatriots of the Cult of the Damned in Western Plaguelands, Eastern Plaguelands, Scholomance and Stratholme have the chance to carry one of these stones.

Boss type mobs such as Ras Frostwhisper, Darkmaster Gandling and Baron Rivendare will always carry a Corruptor's Scourgestone.

Types of Scourgestones

•  [Minion's Scourgestone] - turn in 20 for an  [Argent Dawn Valor Token]. Found on mobs level 50 and up.
•  [Invader's Scourgestone] - turn in 10 for an  [Argent Dawn Valor Token]. Found on mobs level 53 and up.
•  [Corruptor's Scourgestone] - turn in one for an  [Argent Dawn Valor Token]. Found on bosses.
•  [Scourgestone] - Quest item, found on various scourge at Scourgeholme in Icecrown.
