Scout Thaelrid^{[15, 15]}

is a night elf quest giver for the Alliance located within Blackfathom Deeps in Ashenvale. This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.

Prior to the Cataclysm, Scout Thaelrid was apparently labeled as a scout for the Argent Dawn. Since the release of the expansion, he has since lost that affiliation, but no explanation has been given lore-wise for this change. He now apparently works for Ashelan Northwood and the night elves.

Background

Many rumors circulate these days about the union of the Twilight's Hammer and the naga in Blackfathom Deeps on the coasts of Ashenvale. The role of the night elves there is to collect as much information as they can, so they know when and where help is needed.

Thus, they sent Scout Thaelrid as to check on the activity at Blackfathom Deeps, but the night elf has not yet reported back, because he has been grievously wounded. He found out that the cultists, led by Twilight Lord Kelris, sacrifice innocents to the hydra Aku'mai for power.

Notes

Though Scout Thaelrid appears as friendly to the Horde, he has no quests for that faction.
