A seal is a self-buff which temporarily boosts the paladin's power for thirty minutes. The system of interactions between the various Seals and Judgements compose the main bulk of the paladin class's combat system.
Seals cause an additional effect to occur on successful melee attacks. These effects vary greatly, from returning mana or health to causing high amounts of Holy damage. In addition, all seals have an "unleash" effect that is activated through using a Judgement ability. By unleashing a seal, the paladin can deal a large amount of Holy damage instantly to the target (the exact amount and effect depending on the active seal) as well as cause additional effects based on the Judgement.
All seals last for 30 minutes and are treated as a magic-type non-dispellable buff.
Fills the Paladin with divine power for 30 min, giving each single-target melee attack a chance to heal the Paladin and restore 4% of the paladin's base mana. Only one Seal can be active on the Paladin at any one time.
Unleashing this Seal's energy will deal Holy damage to an enemy. Also restores a percentage of the paladin's base mana.
Fills the Paladin with the spirit of justice, giving each melee attack a chance to stun for 2 sec - 4.0.1 => Now it makes the target unable to go above 100% speed run.
Unleashing this Seal's energy will cause Holy damage to an enemy.
Fills the Paladin with holy power, causing attacks to apply Censure, which deals additional Holy damage over 15 sec. Censure can stack up to 5 times. Once stacked to 5 each weapon swing from the Paladin will deal additional Holy damage.
Unleashing this Seal's energy will judge an enemy, instantly causing Holy damage to an enemy, increased for each application of Censure on the target.
Fills the Paladin with the spirit of the crusader, granting additional attack power and increasing attack speed, though each melee attack will deal less damage.
Unleashing this Seal's energy will judge the target, increasing Holy damage taken.
Fills the Paladin with holy power, causing attacks to apply Holy Vengeance, which deals additional Holy damage over 15 sec. Holy Vengeance can stack up to 5 times. Once stacked to 5 each weapon swing from the Paladin will deal additional Holy damage.
Unleashing this Seal's energy will judge an enemy, instantly causing Holy damage to an enemy, increased for each application of Holy Vengeance on the target.

/Patch 4.0.1 (12-Oct-2010): Seal of Corruption and Seal of Vengeance have been removed from the game.
Patch 3.2.0 (04-Aug-2009): Seal of the Martyr and Seal of Blood have been removed from the game.
Patch 3.0.9 (2009-02-10): The duration on all Seals has been increased to 30 minutes and can no longer dispelled.
/Patch 3.0.2 (14-Oct-2008): All Seals have been reduced to 1 rank and now cost 14% of base mana. The duration has been increased to 2 minutes and are no longer consumed when a Judgement spell is cast. The effects can be triggered from all weapon based special abilities.
Patch 1.9.0 (03-Jan-2006):Seal of Fury - The seal and judgement have been removed and replaced with a new self-buff, Righteous Fury, which will increase threat from holy damage.
