Agamaggan Europe (PvP)

Since the opening of the Spanish Realms, most of the Spanish population have left Agamaggan. While this was a blessing to all the non-Spanish players, it left the server a tad empty. Since then a lot of new people have joined the server and we can say that our population can be stated as "Medium".

Background and Server History

At the time of release, Agamaggan was one of the furthest realms in terms of progression, however, a migration to Kor'gall soon absorbed all of the top guilds. At this time, Agamaggan was one of the unofficial Spanish realms. This meant that well over 50% of the population was Spanish, causing large rifts between players on what the server's language was. New, key players began populating and personalizing the forums in this time. This was the second wave. Gradually, English speakers and Spanish speakers managed to reach a compromise and the arguments ceased. People began to get Agamaggan back onto it's feet, having fun along the way. Agamaggan was hit by another migration in early 2006, yet many guilds chose not to migrate (third wave). People now prefer it on Agamaggan and some members who previously transferred away have moved back. Agamaggan is moving away from it's third wave of migrations into the fourth wave, with the arrival of BG and new guilds appearing, and other members transferring back.

In July 2007, free migration was opened to Agamaggan due to the very low population. Many people and guilds from many random realms (Notably Shadowmoon) have transferred over recently, and in the process also helped the Alliance/Horde ratio balance out. Although the progress is still nothing compared to most servers guilds like Bad Blood and Lithum are progressing fast.

Guilds

Alliance

Nal Ra : Transferred over to Agamaggan from Shadowmoon in July 2007. Cleared Karazhan, Gruul, Mag, SSC, TK, MH and BT. Famous members: Dizzee.
Dark Disciples: One of the oldest and most experienced guilds on the server. Cleared Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Mag's Lair, SSC and are 3/4 TK. Former guild The Special Forces merged into this guild. Guild created 17-08-2005, 204 players. Famous members: Coolgerb.
Limo Wreck : Previously known as "Myths" and "Unity", had their ups and downs but sticked together being the oldest raiding guild on the server. Cleared Sarth 3D and has currently 11/14 bosses down in Ulduar. Famous members: Balidin, Maegdring, Fluffy
Red Army : Created before TBC. They have cleared Zul'Aman, SSC, TK, MH and BT and are now venturing into sunwell. Now amoung the top guilds of Agamaggan Famous Members: Tworude, Slothe.
From Dusk Till Dawn : Guild created before TBC. Former Vendetta members merged into this guild. Cleared Karazhan, Gruul, Mag, SSC, TK, MH and are currently progressing in BT. Famous Members: Cygu, Androidrex.
Cursed Angels : Cursed Angels are the old members of the pre-TBC raiding guild, Malus Spiritus. They have cleared Karazhan, Gruul, Magtheridon, Zul'Aman, SSC, TK, and are currently working on MH (4/5) and BT (6/9). Famous Members: Vasilis.
Swedish Valhalla Elite : A swedish guild created in 2006. Guildleader is Xmoon. This is a social guild with nearly 200 members. The guild also have 2 affiliated guilds, Minivalhalla (also Agamaggan) and Swedish Valhalla Horde (on the Xavius realm). Minivalhalla is our lower level guild and, SVH is a pure Alt-guild with only members from SVE and Minivalhalla. The common denominator is that all are swedish. Raiding all 10-man raids on regular basis and aiming to be raiding the 25-man versions as well. Famous Members: Fradlock, Fretse and Bozzy just to mention a few.
Tasteful Pain : Friendly but hardcore raiding guild. Created in TBC, clearing all but SWP and the fastest progressing Alliance raiding guild in WotLK, now have Sartharion-3D on farm status. Built on a base of ex-Touch my Totem members. Famous Members: Zhiana, Bacondesk, Darthmatto.

Horde

Explicit : Guild Leader: Agantes. Explicit is a Danish guild, consistent only of danish players. The player base is originally from Shadowmoon, who broke out of Lost Chapter and migrated here. There are at the moment 130 unique active members, all in all 250 chars in the guild. Currently they have cleared Karazhan, Gruul, Maggy, Zul'aman and ssc 5/6, TK 3/4, BT 3/9, and MH 1/5.
The Noble Europeans : Guild Leader: Fishmaster. TNE is and old guild formed back at the launch of wow. It started out as alliance on Deathwing - migrated to Tarren Mill - Rerolled horde on Shadowmoon - migrated to Agamaggan. It lost and gained alot members during the times but some key members have always kept it going. Most of the pre-tbc content was done and atm they have cleared Kara, ZA, Gruul, Mag, SSC, TK, MH and BT. They are currently progressing in Sunwell where they have killed Kalecgos and Brutallus. Famous Members: many.
Notorious] : A guild, with some key members of Alius Orbis returning to it. Guild created 11-6-2006, 89 players. Famous members: Shadowpie, Jahule, Countjerkula.
Troublemakers : Small guild consisting of friends. Famous members: Azza, Malki, Ungabunga.
Kawhoom : A PVE guild that is currently farming everything up to Illidan and are starting in SWP. They also have a second pve raiding group that is focussing on SSC/TK. With 300 members they are one of the largest horde guilds that is successfully raiding. Famous Members: Kaedex
Tainted Core : A PvE guild currently 5/5 MH, 9/9 BT and 1/6 SWP only less than 2 weeks after SWP progress was started. The guild was started by old USV(Unactioned Violence)core raiding members, and are one of the guild with the most progress in shortest time. Currently both BT and MH are on farm status, but SWP is the main focus for this guild. Tainted Core merged before WoTLK with an old vanilla WoW guild from Agamaggan called Alius Orbis and its now aiming to be the best PvE guild on the server.
The Brotherhood of Steel : A mysterious guild, lead by the a wacky druid pirate ninja dragon slayer named Stormrage. Its members are either PvP fighters, PvE mercenaries, or nice casual people with a forgotten past, some days you can run into an occasional traveler that's just passing through the guild.

Notable Characters

All terms are used loosely. Agamaggan has reams of forum 'celebrities' and skilled players.

Controversy will probably result in naming the key and 'famous' characters, but it's safe to assume that players such as Coolgerb, Wiggleman and Maarr for the alliance are quite significant and 'famous'. Coolgerb is an emo gerbil though, and Maarr and Wiggleman British hooligans. Skilled PvPers. If you are Alliance, you can expect a lot of talk about mudkips, from Geckothan, Discover and Xenarios on midnight trade chat.

Sauska, Yorrick and Justahunter were also forum trolls for a small period, albeit not entirely fantastic ones (except for Yorrick, he was just misunderstood). To be honest, they sucked balls. 'OH HOLY SHIT I STOLE YOUR COOKIE! ROTFL! THAT'S SEXUAL INNUENDO! HIGH FIVE!' And because they proclaimed themselves to be trolls every second, people hated/loved them. Yorrick can still be found lurking in orc form and is not allowed any sugar now. Vonbumnut and Countjerkula were good at trolling the forums too and gained popularity very easily. Angus sends his love.

CARPETS/Jahule/Renato formed the core of the old PvP guild Merciless, later on becoming 'prominent' members of Alius Orbis.

We all love Tyst and his alt Zooca (look I can bold and make italics!)

But we all think Ewin should be president and his Zorena and Bladesolo and the legendary dragon slayer Barimathras will all hold legendary positions in office. Unfortunately they would not be good presidents as I made them smoke too many mushrooms on Emeriss, causing forum drama and people acting like reta--- I mean mentally challenged people.

Azza is well known for his skill with a riding crop, be careful.
