Server:Anub'arak US/History
From WoWWiki
And then there was light
Anub'arak was opened on August 21st, 2006. This was one of many servers opened 5 months prior to TBC release.
The early days
Anub'arak showed a lot of promise early on in its history with the Alliance guild Chilltown tearing through pre-BC content. They completed ZG before the first 60's came up on the Horde faction. By the time the first Horde guilds were clearing MC, Chilltown had already cleared BWL. They also went on to clear several bosses in Naxxramas, without ever setting foot in AQ. Chilltown eventually fell apart due to lack of raid attendance.
By Burning Crusade Many of the Alliance had transfered off shifting the Progressional Power to the Horde. Still Guilds Like Working as Intended provided some Progression. It is at this Point when Skyfang, Epinicion, and Deadly Soap started to run SSC and TK, Though horde guild like Revolving Door (douchebags), Twilight, Legion de MonteCristo, and Divine comedy were achieving server firsts in Hyjal and BT.
One side note about Doom Lord Kazzak is that a Paladin from the Guild <Deadly Soap> By the name Aspena Sparked a controversy about what is reportable or not By repeatedly pulling Doom Lord Kazzak onto a skyfang raid group. the ensuing action wiped their group many times. The thead of Mayhem is found hereAspena rules From that point on Aspena Became the most known Paladin on Anub Arak since Onilink decided to quit Again and again and again.
In one of the Saddest Yet Greatest moves ever Killingspree gkicked everyone in Deadly soap and the few Core members Joined a Guild the likes that had never been Seen and they Called themselves <OMAR GO TO BED>. The Rise Of OGTB came quick. 3 hours of IQD ganking threw them in the Proverbial spotlight. OGTB produced the Most amount of gladiators for the Arena Season on alliance side. OGTB transfered off Anub leaving a big hole in the Heart of the Alliance.
All in all, Aspena has done what paladins have been doing on every single server day in and day out since Kazzak was a raid boss. Also left out large portions of Anub'Arak histroy like the guilds <Prey> and <The Final Sanctum>. He could have been in <Revolving Door> if he were a horde paladin, because he fits perfectly in the said "douche bag" category as them.
All hail Salty Lungthar.
The opening of the gates
The gates were opened by a hunter from the guild Prey, on the horde side, 2 weeks prior to TBC. Alliance have a deep distaste for the Horde, which has its roots here, as the Alliance blames the Horde for not turning in items for the war effort.
