Auchindoun is a server released with the Burning Crusade on January 16, at 12:01 AM EST.[1] It is a PvP server in the EST timezone. The server population ratio of Alliance to Horde is very unbalanced at 70, but about 1:1.5 overall. The vast majority of Horde being comprised of blood elves, which account for more than half the entire server. Because of its low population, Auchindoun is free of server queues. Battleground queues for Horde, however, are another story and can be very long.

Black Temple cleared by Reckless Ambition 12/04/07, making it the 2nd most progressed in PvE (Retaliation Battlegroup)

PvP Server that is PvP Free

Unfortunately, due to the Alliance to Horde ratio, PvP on the server is held up by long delays for BG queue's, and world PvP is almost nonexistent.

Note: The preceding sentence appears to be written from a Horde point of view. Alliance on this server still often enjoy fast queues if they queue as a group, and world PvP (read: ganking) has always been a fact of life. Most Horde will attack any Alliance they see out of sheer boredom, because due to the severely low number of active Alliance, it may be hours or even days before they see another one. Horde controls all world PvP objectives by default, with the sometimes exception of the Terokkar towers, since these are held for a set amount of time after capture, and organized Alliance groups are often formed up to half an hour in advance.
