This article is an information page for the Darrowmere USrealm (server)
The contents herein are entirely player made and in no way represent official World of Warcraft history or occurrences which are accurate for all realms. The information and events listed are of an independent nature and applied for roleplaying, fictional, speculative, or opinions from a limited playerbase only.
Darrowmere has a friendly, tight-knit feeling and a strong community. Many transfers to other realms find themselves coming back or rerolling on Darrowmere in order to continue to take part in the community they left behind. Darrowmere had long been among the lowest-population servers since launch, but starting with free realm transfers that took place in 2008 and 2010, the population has risen dramatically.
As of December 2011, the realm has steadily maintained a medium population. The server currently has an Alliance bias, with as much as a 3:1 ratio over the Horde. Server queues are nonexistent on Darrowmere.
PvP Activity
Darrowmere has a strong PvP community, active in both battlegrounds and Arena. Queue times for battlegrounds are generally never longer than 10 minutes for Horde, more often under 5 minutes, and arena queue times are similar.
Large world PvP raids on opposing faction capitals are uncommon, but not unheard of.
Tol Barad on Darrowmere continues to see plenty of combatants wage their battle for control. The zone changes hands on a daily basis, despite the stronger Alliance presence on the server.
Economy
The economy on Darrowmere may reflect the comparatively small raiding population. Cataclysm gear is under-priced in comparison to servers with a higher raiding population, although there is a reasonable selection of it. Epic crafted items, extremely rare drops and recipes and profession crafting mats generally sell for lower than they would on servers with a higher raiding population, possibly due to lower demand, and rare drops often take relatively longer to sell.
Progression
Although Darrowmere had ranked among the least progressed servers during Wrath of the Lich King, there has been a steady resurgence in progression raiding on the server in Cataclysm, particularly since the release of Firelands. Many of the PvE raiding guilds on the server favor casual raiding.
