Downhammer Edit

Sarcastic wordplay on the server name; refers to Doomhammer's infamous history of extended periods of downtime and related server problems such as severe lag, long queue times, and inability to authenticate. Heard most often by disgruntled players in forums and chat when connectivity issues are at their worst (days or weeks in a row).

"Downhammer" is also the name of several guilds on various other servers, created by Doomhammer exiles when they are unable to play on their main server due to the aforementioned problems.
