KotL interviewing Draenor; Ivory Heart'
Edit
(under construction)
The plan of interviewing Draenor guilds was there a while, but never really got off the ground.
We all play on the same server, but what do we know about eachother?
At first we tried interviewing Requiem Sanctus(h), but nothing was heared from them after it.
Our second victim was DoY, who at the same time got an internal crisis..
Anyways, Ivory Heart, one of the top alliance guilds pre- and in tbc, should be able to survive this interview, compiled from different people of KotL.

History
Edit
When was your guild created and what were the goals back then? (eg. leveling, social, hardcore)
Calissa: A guild capable of seeing everything the game has to offer (regardless of speed) as well as always having space for anyone mature enough wanting to join some friends.
If your guild raided pre-TBC, which highest endgame boss did die under your forces? Calissa: Gluth, Razuvious, Maexxna, Loatheb.
This server is nicknamed Drama-EU; What was the biggest drama in your guild?
Calissa: Zhortrox's Morning Glory post and Calissa in general. :) As for inside IH itself, probably some differences in opinion with officers who then left the guild. We're on better terms nowadays, games can get you pretty heated up over nothing.
And on the other side; What is the best thing that has happened to the guild?
Calissa: C'thun's loot. And on the non-hardcore-gaming side of things, congratulations to all of those who had new additions to their family during their years in IH.
Twinius: Killing C'thun, our then raidleader Calissa refused to go to Naxx before we had killed the last boss in AQ40, C'thun. It took 3 weeks, a shitload of drama more beer/red bull/swet/tears then you can imagine but then at I don't know like 23:30 or something the old god C'thun finally died. Best WoW moment for everyone who was there.
Bassi: KIlling Vaelastrasz the Corrupt on the 23. rd attemt on the same night was my raiding highlight.. It was an epic moment, cause it was the same 40 people who were wiping for 6 hours aboout 22 times.. That was IH dedication at best perhaps, which later lead to the Nefferian, C'thun etc. kills..
Does your guild have any heroes of the past, persons placed on a statue?
We got several, Calissa (ex raidleader, still a huge source of information). Kex most pro elemental shammy ever. Nexa our informant on the other side (Horde). There are probably more, but my history with IH isn't that long.
How did the launch of TBC did affect your guild; Was Illidan right? “You are not prepared!”
We had some struggle, some bosses took some time to kill, but Illidan didn't take as long as fights like Vashj/Kael. We killed Illidan before sunwell came out, so we were probably prepared enough.
The present
Edit
Ruling a group of people can be done of several ways, is your guild ruled by a dictator or are there real democratic influences? Barish: they seem not be able/dare to answer this question, I guess they are ruled with a sort of iron hand
Some numbers please: How many members walk around with your guildtag?
We got 120 members atm, just kicked alot of inactives a couple of days ago. I'd estimate the number of females at around 10.
What is the age range of those?
Think jimi's kid is the youngest at 13?, and jimi himself the oldest at 60?
What are you and how often are currently raiding?
Black Temple/Mount Hyjal, focussing on Sunwell Plateau atm.
People always whine about loot; So do you roll, bid or use another system to keep everyone almost happy?
We use a free bidding dkp system, prioritizing Raiders over Trials.
25mans raids or the good old 40man?
Both have their con's and pro's i'd say: 25man is easier to fill, depends alot more on the players skills tho. 40man hard to fill, but you can have some slackers in the raid on most encounters.
PvP-items from PvE-tokens a complete fuck up or a welcome addition?
PvE tokens should be used for PvE gear, its just a waste to leave them on a corpse because everybody has all items allready (offspec, off-offspec etc). I guess its nice, cause druids/pala's can now use 6 of the same token.
The slow removal of attunements and the improving badge rewards, did this help your guild?
The removal of attunements did for sure, everybody got tired with SSC/TK, having to attune every new recruit to BT/MH was a time consuming process leaving not much time for progress in those places. On the other hand, just giving guilds access to Vashj/Kael would have been better, since missing out on these bosses as guild is missing some real challenges, they are really hard, well scripted encounters.
The future
Edit
The second expansion is in Alpha test now, are you better prepared for the expansion now then with TBC? (Are you already preparing?)
It's hard to say what to expect from both the current raiding team as from the new expansion, ppl quit over expansions, some level fast others slow, we'll just have to wait and see.
Death Knights, the hero class; are you feared about him to fucking the roles system?
Doubt they will, they are tuned better for some encounters over other tanks, but it will sort itself probably.
The guess it will arrive somewhere October/December 2008; Is this too early or too late for your guild?
We'll see, still got some stuff in SWP to take care of before that. New content is always welcome, but it would be fun to complete the game first as it is.
Do you have any requests for Blizzards, how can they improve Warcraft?
Gnomes <> Goblins, Belfs <> Ogres.
Other questions
Edit
What do you think about hybridclasses vs. single role classes?
Hybrids are ok, but its hard choosing since a raid only holds 25 ppl, if you bring a hybrid of every type your raid fills up really fast, some hybrid speccs are essential (like spriests, wich kinda turns out to be the only serious raiding spec for priests, all others are replaceable by better specs from other classes imo), others are optional, its hard to choose sometimes.
Cake or Pie?
Applepie all the way.
Have relationships spawned due to people meeting each other via the guild?
Wouldn't surprise me. Others can probably tell more about that.
What do you like about Dreanor-EU?
I know lots of ppl on this server, it's the server I started playin wow on. Doubt i'll ever migrate.
What do you hate about Draenor-EU?
Slow raidingprogress, lots of drama, but i guess the last part counts for all servers.
Does anyone in your guild like sheep or ever had any relations with sheep?
We got some irish/scottish ppl yeah, think they got lots of stuff about sheep.

Thats the Welsh ffs :< Ivory Heart also launched their new website this week.
They dumped the old dragon and made the layout a bit less 'roleplay', more official.
