− | '''The Legacy of Jacht''' |
− | |||
− | [[Image:Jacht.JPG|thumb|Jacht last seen in Shattrah.]] |
− | |||
− | Jacht is a level 70 Human Warrior and well known on the Gorefiend server. He formed many World Boss puggs such as Kazzak and Doomwalker and allowed players to roll for loot, he also formed Ogrimmar raid puggs as well. On August 2007 he server transfered, only a few know where he moved some speculate he transfered to an RP server some say he rolled Horde to join his former guild SiN. His legacy is still remembered in trade chat by the famous quotes "Heal Jacht" or "Jacht The Dragonslayer". Many do not realize that Jacht in fact had a secret weapon to his success in defeating the many "Dragons" of Azeroth and Outland. This secret weapon was the druid known as Kytten... Without Kytten Jacht would become disoriented and quickly succumb to the dragons which he fault, but with Kytten telling him where to stand to tank Jacht over came his foes and defeated the evil dragons. Then one day he began to feel the Kytten was creating a conspiracy against him along with the dreaded warlock Kyzara and the governor of orgrimmar Alcarcalimo. The three supposedly were conspiring to destroy "The Jacht" and lead to his eventual downfall. To this day no one truly knows if there was a conspiracy or if it was all inside "The Jachts" mind. |

− | '''Quote from the Gorefiend forums''' |
− | |||
− | Here's your history lesson. Its sketchy and based purely on my memory, but the last remaining Gods of Gorefiend Forums (that is anyone who made the boards worth reading pre-TBC) can fill in what I miss; Jacht was a server transfer, most likely from an RPPvP server. He was in piss-poor gear and specced Mortal Strike, but in his applications he expressed a willingness to respec Protection, even if he wasn't guaranteed a raid spot. He was mostly notorious for griefing people on World Dragon raids, namely the guilds that would later grief him out of revenge and a desire to entertain themselves between raid invites. |
− | If memory serves, he was in Annihilation first, then hopped to Excessive later. He was either gkicked for either being terrible at the game or just a whiny little %##%% (and based on his cry-baby reactions when things go wrong for him in raids it was probably both), or he left around the time that Merk had been removed from Sinister and he hoped to fill the missing Main Tank role that the Lord of the Shifting Sands left behind. |
− | Through some fluke he was invited to Sinister, but he was not the main tank, nor would he ever be. I believe Bone respecced Protection and took over that role, or someone filled the gap, but it is not our hero who would take up Sword and Board and taunt for great justice. Instead, he aspired to being present on farm nights to soak up tanking epics and pick up the iconic gear that represented "a really well-geared guy in the best guild on the server", but certainly didn't make him good at anything. |
− | So while this was happening, Jacht was spending his free hours, not working, or going to school, or doing something in real life as one might suspect. No, Jacht aspired to much more. He instead assaulted the beloved Emerald Dream. He assembled raids of nonfactors in greens from Clan Moon Wolf and Army of Cair Paravel and tons of others who's guilds couldn't kill trash in Zul Gurub, and set off on a journey to slay dragons. But those who stood in his way were The Red Shirts. |
− | Every world raid Jacht led, a few extra peasants were present to see to it that his raid worked for their loot. Whether it was mushrooms on Lethon or whoever the hell that was, or dying on Kazzak / Kruul in order to heal the boss and screw the raid over, TRS nobly guarded the ideals that the Humane Society hold true in real life. |
− | This epic battle reached its climax on the forums; an irrational, crazed gamer fancied himself the ruler of the server and would see to it that TRS was never allowed in any PuG's led by anyone, nor would excessive hear the end of his criticism (XSE months behind). This effort proved futile as most of the people who led PuG's either didn't read the forums or wholeheartedly couldn't care less, and his only reward was verbal assault from folks like Arey, Marnacleez, Honzo and Threats (myself much later in the game, I don't give myself a great part in this because I was a nonfactor throughout it all). At one point his posts on the Sinister Forums regarding QQing about XSE passing them in content (referring to them as peasants, as per his shtick) were leaked onto the Gorefiend boards, and there was also speculation that a car accident he participated in one night while returning home for a raid may have found him in a coma. |
− | During December a patch came out that annihilated PvP as we know it, and Jacht's dreams of being in the guild that killed the Four Horsemen first came crashing to the ground. To add insult to injury, his challenge to Honzo for a duel outside Stormwind went sour when he lost to a dagger-specced rogue in 7/9 Dreadnaught and nearly 8000 health. Last Stands were blown and potions were consumed, and there was debate on the credibility of both players involved, but it was not a strong hour for Jacht, regardless. |
− | A resolution was achieved when Excessive rerolled Horde on Burning Blade (and then lapsed into inactivity), and for a brief moment, Jacht could breathe easy. His rival guild was gone, and the peasants had lain dormant for a time. But then, a new guild arrived, much more ferocious and with an agenda. Juice. They aspired to griefing his Kruul raids for 6 hours and eventually seeing Sinister driven to the dirt. |
− | The Burning Crusade was released, and people set aside grievances for the most part to level up. Karazhan was raided, and in some intraguild drama Jacht was dismissed from service by Bone, which was just as well because a few weeks later Sinister switched servers for PvP reasons, something that was beyond Jacht's ability anyway. |
− | Gorefiend had its quiet months, and then in full force the Dragonslayer returned. Now in Tabula Rasa, he fell to gathering epics in the same fashion again. People tried to start drama, but the old veteran was tired of ... something, and refused to be provoked. Over the summer Jacht then vanished from Gorefiend, or the icon of the 70 prot warrior with a DPS chest for tanking did anyway, and the drama should have died there. |

− | '''Quote from the Gorefiend forums''' |
− | |||
− | Let me start by saying I probably knew Jacht before any of you, and that's no bragging rights mind you. I've never once said "HEAL JACHT", or brought the guy up in any way shape or form before he was bashed insistently in /2. Yeah, I'm probably gonna be flamed and blamed for suckin' his balls, but whatever....I got a couple peices of loot from his raids, he's not around anymore doin' pugs, so I have no real reason to post this but to get a few things straight about the "non-factor" Jacht. |
− | |||
− | Getting a few quick things straight, Jacht was never in Excessive. Jacht didn't get kicked from Annihilation for being a whiny %***!. He left with alot of others during an exodus of alot of good players during guild drama brought up by the two GM's Hamoshin and Kiryn. As far as the motherload of all, the "Emerald Dream"...Jacht wasn't the only one involved in the petty grieving of guilds and raids taking part in the slaying of dragons. All of it stemmed back to the infamous Sin vs. Excessive grieving of one another on world dragons, along with the equally infamous Hamoshin's "TWICE" statement reguarding said raids and dragons. It was just another petty bicker of raids and guilds fighting for a chance at loot. Pinning it all on Jacht is going way beyond what your post is trying to say Muscle, you are seriously making a mistake, and only glorfying what you hate. As far as Jacht was concerned on the world dragons, he took Merk's place. All your other bashing of him, I'm not even going to bother, you are getting personal with him, I don't know him personally, so have a blast doing that. |
− | |||
− | When I was MT for Annihilation I had the pleasure, if you could call it pleasure, to tank along side Jacht. He always aspired to be a tank, we always helped one another out and communicated with one another on what to do, how to do it, how to improve. I don't know if I learned anything from him, or vice versa, all I know is, I'm a pretty tolerant guy when it comes to people learning, as long as they don't eff up all the time. Alot of my guildmates, Drek especially, didn't like the guy, thought he was a major screw up, I didn't see it all that much. Sure, he was a little slow sometimes, but he was just learning. After I left Annihilation, he went to Sin, I went to DB, and on occasion, I would join his pugs, chat with him. I never saw the side of Jacht everyone blabbers about consistently on this server. I wasn't with him in Sinister, so I can't comment on how terrible he did in Sin. All I know is, I know how untolerant Bone and the rest of the Sinister core was of players who didn't perform; and he was with Sin for a very long time. People say it was Sin's lack of tanks which kept him in Sin, and I call BS on that statement. If he was that horrible, why wasn't another Warrior recruited, I know ALOT of people wanted to be in Sinister during the hey day. I guess only Bone could tell us why. |
− | |||
− | People say he was weird? Why, because he didn't want to give people information about his personal life? Cause he didn't post a picture of his dong on the net like threats? Is that what it takes to be cool and a likeable guy on gorefiend? Rarely did I see this strangeness people speak of. There were a few times he would ask me strange questions along the lines of what I really thought of him, if I was just another pug riding the Jacht loot train, or if he should just quit what he was doing all together. Yeah, he was a little strange, but so are alot of people on this server. I've seen worse. Just another dramatic overture to add to the Jacht bashing. |
− | |||
− | As far as you go Muscle, you got booted from DB for being a total douche if I remember correctly. I know your choice words in Guild Chat didn't make you very popular, and quite frankly, you didn't fit in well at all with DB. I never had a problem with you, hell, I rarely have problems with anyone, but you didn't get kicked from DB because of Jacht. Gnomer and Zaeric wouldn't of listened to him. As far as everyone else claiming he tried to get you booted for griefing him, well, I won't condone his childish "I'm going to tell on you BS", but that was Jacht's way of doing it. |
− | |||
− | Bottom line is, Gorefiend is the Mos Eisley of World of Warcraft servers. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany, best be on your toes. Jacht tried for awhile, and went his own way. Drop it, leave it be. I agree with Muscle on one point, the guy doesn't deserve the mystique he's gained, and those who don't know him, who scream in /2 those stupid "HEAL JACHT" quotes, give it a rest. He wasn't the best player by far. He ran some fun pugs to pass the time, achieved some really impressive *PUG* raids on Horde Leaders, did his time in one of the most infamous Guilds on the server, and he's GONE. |

− | '''Jacht back on Gorefiend''' |
− | As confirmed by Tigersmithgu on 01/01/08, Jacht is playing on Gorefiend again under the character Finnr. He has lead several pugs since his return. Whether he is playing full-time on Finnr, or still "raiding Black Temple" on his warrior, it is uncertain. |

Crafting Index
The Crafting Index serves the purpose of listing known enchanters and crafters by their respective items and enchants.
Feel free to add yourself to the mentioned areas; we won't mind, so long as you are truthful. Please keep any information posted correct; it would be nice if you could insert yourself alphabetically as well. When you do edit, leave a note on the discussion page or at the edit page. If you see an inactive crafter, go ahead and move him to the bottom (don't forget to delete his entries in the text).
Rep gear may be added to the list, until there are 10+ each faction able to craft. However, please do not add items with a loot quality of rare or lower. Leave a note at the Gorefiend Crafting Thread on the official forum for major edits to this page.
To edit this page, click the edit button in the correct category. Note that for all categories, you must insert your name between the second set of brackets and the break code. Also note that no break code is required between the last entry of one category and the category header. Thanks!
PS: Feel free to add items non listed here as well, if you can deal with the code.
