Server Type: PvE
Server Time: Eastern time
The realm is named after the Horde outpost in the Badlands named Kargath, which was the orcish outpost created after their defeat in Dun Morogh and Loch Modan. The outpost itself is named after former Shattered Hand chieftain, Kargath Bladefist.
Although Kargath is not an official 'Launch Server,' it was introduced within hours of the release of World of Warcraft. While the players of Kargath are as diverse as any other server in Azeroth, it is worth noting that there are many strong personalities on Kargath. Progression wise, Kargath is not cutting edge, but it is never very far behind the curve. There are always top guilds that are with or near the top spots in raiding situations. Kel'Thuzad was not destroyed before The Burning Crusade release on Kargath, and neither were the Four Horsemen. For a period of time, Kargath was the highest population U.S. server, but currently Kargath's population is closer to average. As with most PvE servers, alliance players outnumber horde players on Kargath (by a ratio of around 2.5 to 1); so if you transfer to Kargath, bring horde.
