Madoran

Madoran is a US server that was created on January 12, 2007 to help alleviate server congestion on five well populated servers:

• Khaz Modan
• Aggramar
• Malygos
• Alexstrasza
• Hellscream

Blizzard allowed free transfers from those servers to Madoran when the realm opened and closed transfers on January 26, 2007missing author, missing title, missing date.. During the free-transfer period character creation was disabled. Madoran is a Normal (PvE) server and runs on the central timezone clock.

The namesake for Madoran is Madoran Bronzebeard, a former king of Ironforge. A statue of Madoran Bronzebeard is located in the Blasted Lands.
