Malygos is a Central timezone PvE server, and one of the original World of Warcraft realms. It's raiding community is favored largely towards Alliance players. Server progression has not be as fast as most raiding dominated realms. Prior to Patch 3.0.2, roughly only 10 guilds had fully completed Black Temple and even less had downed bosses in Sunwell Plateau. With the release of the latest expansion, this realm has a bright future. There are more raiding guilds and the progression of this server is beginning to move through content at a good pace.
Concerning the guilds on Malygos, Arcanum of the alliance, is considered the number one guild on the realm by consistently progressing through content the quickest. It holds the vast majority of server firsts through the most difficult raiding content in The Burning Crusade. This includes Hyjal Summit, Black Temple, and especially Sunwell Plateau. Prior to Patch 3.0.2, it had progressed as far as M'uru, with Kil'Jaedan falling shortly thereafter. On the horde side, a guild named Hell has attempted to challenge Arcanum's top ranking, but the few server firsts they obtained in Wrath of the Lich King are considered "simple" raid instances by most players. It is commonly understood that Arcanum will not have its position challenged until the release of Patch 3.1. Other guilds, such as Furore, Fortis, Areté, and Wasted Epics, are also progressing well and look to challenge the top spot in the near future.
