Basic Character AppearanceEdit

• Clothing: Palek generally wears tribalistic cloth robes or light leathers. He is rarely seen outside of a robe of some sort. Hanging from his belt are various knick-knacks in the form of a few totems, an idol of the Earthmother, one of the moon goddess, Elune, and a dreamcatcher. Hanging around his neck most of the time are a few necklaces made up of various colorful beads strung together on a thin leather strip. Occasionally the beads can be seen hanging from his horns or tied up in his mane.
  
• Cleanliness: Rarely if ever can a clump of dirt or blood be seen dried up in his fur. He seems to take care of himself, his fur clean and soft to the touch, his hair in well kept braids. A golden loop hangs from his nose.

BiographyEdit

Before and During the Third WarEdit

Born somewhere in the southern Barrens, Palek and his younger sister Haloke were raised among the nomadic campsites that made up the Bloodhoof Tribe and the other tribes of the shu'halo. His father vanished mysteriously during a hunting trip and his mother died of natural causes when he was in his early teenage years. This would leave Palek as being both the sibling and effectively the legal guardian of his younger sister.

While Palek was fit for physical combat, he always maintained a more pacifistic ideology throughout his childhood and early adulthood. Being very spiritual in nature, he prayed to the Earthmother and ancestral spirits on a regular basis. While shu'halo druids were not officially organized under any one leader and were not recognized by the kal'dorei, Palek privately practiced druidic magic alongside his sister. In the years leading up to the third war, shu'halo druids began to form under Hamuul Runetotem, and Palek's already well established druidic capabilities allowed him to serve as a teacher of those who formed under the new druidic order.

During the Third War, Palek aided in the march to Mulgore, healing shu'halo forces and the Orcish Horde as they came to the rescue of the tribes.

Post-Third WarEdit

In the post-Third War world, Palek continued to study his craft, his powers growing until he was promoted within Runetotem's druidic circle as being a senior druid capable of taking apprentices of his own. Soon after, his sister disappeared during a mission and was reportedly killed. He mourned but continued his studies, focusing his attention on finding a new cure to the feral disease that haunts druids, a status in which the druid forgets who they truly are having spent so much time in their animal forms.

Ever since the Third War, Palek has promised undying support for the Horde. His loyalties continue to lie with the Horde and its people.

Burning Tusk TribeEdit

Ever since his sister's death, Palek's loneliness got the best of him. Being a senior druid he was looked upon as being a leader and no longer a member of the group of druids that made up Runetotem's students. Palek joined the ranks of the Burning Tusk Tribe in an attempt to find a new home and family. He served alongside the Tribe in their battles at the Argent Tournament and more recently in Icecrown Citadel. Finally finding acceptance, Palek's loyalty and appreciation of the Tribe paid off when he was recently promoted to being a full Tribesmate.

He has recently taken a feral treant under his guidance as a student. Unknown to Palek, this treant is actually his younger sister. Under the impression that she is only a treant, she has no memory of her past life as a tauren and is incapable of exiting the form, much like other druids of the feral curse. Palek has since learned the truth of his sister. In an enraged state, he betrayed his own pacifistic attitude on life and destroyed a satyr camp responsible for corrupting his sister. Currently he is trying to change back into who he once was, ashamed of his outburst.

Palek has also recently engaged in a whirlwind romance between himself and one of the Tribe's newest members, Nakawe Mossrunner. The relationship did not last long, only a meager three weeks, before dissolving as quickly as it was created. The reasoning behind the break-up revolved around the change in attitude of Palek since his return from the satyr attack. However, recently Nakawe suffered a recent near-death experience that left her with an amnesia of recent events. Considering it a devine sign from the Earthmother as a form of a second chance, Palek has taken advantage of the opportunity to get back together with her. While he has received the official commendation of most of the taunka Greatmothers who approve of their relationship, and the approval of her parents, Palek feels slightly guilty over what has transpired.

As AdvisorEdit

The two wed on February 27 in Moonglade during the Lunar Festival. Palek soon became an Advisor to the Chieftain of the Burning Tusk Tribe. Although Palek is very proud of his promotion, it has put some strain on his marriage. Regardless, he continues to serve the Tribe and commonly asks Tribesmates to treat him as they always have.

Despite his mate's difficulties in the later portion of her pregnancy, Palek delivered his and Nakawe's two calves on June 27th, a month earlier than expected. As of October their children, Willow and Sage, are both healthy. The family continues to live on in service of the Tribe happily, attending various events and tribal interviews.

Special AbilitiesEdit

Being one of the more senior ranking druids of the shu'halo, Palek has access to a few special magical capabilities. Regardless, as a pacifist he has no unique offensive combat abilities, only defensive ones.

Star Teleportation: Unlike the normal form of teleportation to Moonglade that a druid would have, when the caster of this ability teleports, he/she glows brightly for a moment before breaking up into hundreds of tiny golden stars. These stars fly up into the sky before flying toward Moonglade or whatever other destination the caster wishes to teleport to. Upon arrival, the stars reform into the caster. Similar in nature to Television Teleportation (Willy Wonka) or Orb Teleportation (Charmed).

Remote Teleportation: The caster has the ability to remotely teleport other beings to Moonglade without physically touching them. This includes things such as the teleportation of animals or critters to Moonglade. Cannot be used on hostile targets. Targets who are remotely teleported are relocated by Star Teleportation (See Above).

Sensing: The caster can sense the general location of other beings. Cannot be used to determine specific location. The caster can also use this to determine if the subject is in danger or deceased.

Pacified: This person is pacified. They cannot use any offensive actions against others, but can defensively heal others who need aid. This person can however use cyclone to pacify others temporarily to remove them as threats. This ability can be suspended by the caster, but while suspending this ability, they also lose access to sensing and special teleportation abilities.
