Character's Full name: Deathstalker Jastara Zhaen Vessrad.
Race: Forsaken, formerly Human.
Age: Jastara was 35 years of age at the time of her mortal death.
Class: Jastara is a Death Knight, though she was trained as a Mage when she was Human.
Professions: Grand Master Herbalist, Master Scribe.
Secondary Skills: Master Cook, Master First Aid, Journeyman Fisherman, Artisan Rider.
Position in society: As a Death Knight, Jastara is generally rejected from society, not being trusted by anyone, except perhaps by her older brother, Master Jannik.
Current Home: Acherus: The Ebon Hold.
Role-playing weight class: Anywhere from light to heavy depending on the situation.
Role-playing status: Almost always in-character.
Goals and Motivations: To serve her brother Master Jannik however he sees fit. To bring utter destruction to the Scourge.
In Character Strengths: Confident, intelligent, strategic, & highly trained in the ways of war.
In Character Weaknesses: She's not very stealthy, and can sometimes be too serious minded, having occasional trouble relaxing.

She is both hated & feared by those she's at war with, which includes the Burning Legion (and all of their sub-groups such as the Scourge & Burning Blade), the Scarlet Crusade, & The Alliance.

Physical Description

Jastara is very tall, standing at six & a half feet in height when not slouching (an issue she has battled since becoming undead). She weighs in at a very muscular & toned 180 pounds, with almost no fat tissue. Jastara's Gear Score([1]) is 566.

Personality Description

On the field of battle, or when focused on an important task, Jastara comes across as very tough & serious; a no playing around type warrior. But when given a chance to speak for herself in a casual atmosphere, Jastara comes across as a confident & powerful being, & even has a sense of humor & flirtatiousness.

History

Jastara Zhaen Vessrad was born (3rd of 4 children) & raised by loving parents in the small Human town of Brill in the Tirisfal Glades of northern Lordaeron. Jastara's mother was a stay-at-home wife of whom raised Jastara & her brothers as best she could, & tailored clothing for the family, as well as for fun & profit. Jastara's father was a powerful Enchanter, & an influential speaker. He was proud, hard-working, & believed strongly in honor, & the importance of standing up & defending your kin, no matter the odds. Jastara's father served as a close aid to the administrator of Brill, Magistrate Sevren (ranked even above Magistrate Sevren's assistant Jamie Norr), & played a key role in many decisions regarding Brill. While neither of Jastara's parents were soldiers, both had fighting spirits, & had a great impact on Jastara, of whom learned a great deal from them, & to this day holds reverent respect for them.

In her youth, Jastara was more interested in wrestling, rough housing, & playing games rather than school & studying. Jastara grew to be very tall & very strong when she was still quite young. By the time she was 14 years of age, she was already 6 feet tall, and by age twenty, she reached her peak of 6 feet & 6 inches. Jastara has always been extremely athletic, never seeming to have an ounce of body fat on her, & her muscles being strong & well toned without being bulky. Jastara always favored her eldest brother, Alexanikth, while growing up. Alex was the toughest of her brothers, & was the only of the three that could keep up with her in physical competitions. Her other older brother, Jannik, was good for intellectual conversation, but he never joined in the games with Alex & Jastara. Renick always seemed to misbehave & get himself grounded, & when he was able to join in, he'd usually cheat, or just annoy his older siblings.

Jastara inherited her mother's good looks, & many young men in the town of Brill tried to earn her hand. Jastara was a flirtatious girl & fun-loving young lady, but had no interest in relationships, which resulted in many broken hearts in Brill. When Jastara turned 16, she accepted, for the first time, an offered date. The young man tried to force himself on Jastara near the end of the date, & was found early the next day in a bloody heap in the local stables. The young man survived, though was sorely injured with a broken jaw, several missing teeth, two black eyes, several broken ribs, broken right arm, & a broken left ankle. The young man refused to name his attacker, insisting that it was an accident. No one in Brill asked Jastara out again after that, & no one gave her any trouble either. While the authorities assumed that Jastara's brothers were responsible, they didn't pursue the matter, & never learned that Jastara alone was responsible for the young man's injuries.

Jastara & Alex both often teamed together against others their age in competitions. Anything athletic. Jastara was the first female in Brill to participate in physical sports against males... and she never lost a single match. Jastara was raised to be confident & self-reliant, & to believe firmly that she is just as capable as any male, & her experiences fully reinforced this. Other females her age sometimes would tease Jastara for being so tall or so man-ish; this wouldn't last long however, as inevitably, the young lady would come into class the next day with several injuries, & a sullen silence about the cause. Jastara did not tolerate mockery or rudeness, & she has always preferred to use her fist before words.

Jastara, under persuasion by both her parents & her brother Jannik, began studying the mystical arts of a Mage. She found that she liked the extra edge that magic gave her in her tasks, & was pleased that her physical prowess didn't hinder her abilities as a Mage, & vice versa. She focused a lot of time & energy into developing into a Battle Mage, a warrior-like Mage. Periodically, Brill would be attacked by small raids of Murlocs or Gnolls, & Jastara & her family would proudly aid in the defense of the town. Jastara's oldest brother, Alexanikth, was particularly valuable in the defense of the town, as he was a fierce warrior, well trained by Austil de Mon. Jastara & Alex almost always came away from the skirmishes with equal amounts of kills under their belts, & more than double that of anyone else in town.

As time went on & wars raged throughout Azeroth, Alexanikth & Jastara joined the military forces of The Alliance, taking part in many battles. Jastara was killed during an assault by the Scourge on an Alliance outpost, & was raised from the dead to serve in their ranks. After thoroughly proving herself in countless battles & standing out as bring truly elite among the Scourge, Jastara underwent personal training by Highlord Darion Mograine, Instructor Razuvious, The Lich King, Lord Thorval, Prince Valanar, Salanar the Horseman, & Scourge Commander Thalanor to be formed into a Death Knight. When Jastara broke free from the manipulations of the Scourge, she returned to Brill to learn what she could about her family.

Eventually, Kel'Thuzad, still a living man, began experimenting with the Plague of Undeath while visiting Brill, resulting in the demise of the kingdom of Lordaeron. The success of the infestation was such that it allowed Kel'Thuzad to convince the Lich King to launch the invasion even before it was planned. The mass graveyard just outside of Brill was made to accommodate the large number of deaths Tirisfal suffered when the Plague first came. The town was investigated by Prince Arthas during his mission to uncover the source of the Plague. Following the weakening of the Lich King due to the spell cast by Illidan, Sylvanas's rebel Forsaken were able to quickly assume control of the town, along with numerous other sites in Tirisfal Glades. Jastara's brother Jannik & their parents were among those to have died of the Plague, rise up as mindless Scourge, & then be granted freedom by Sylvanas, becoming the Forsaken that they are today.

Master Jannik found Jastara in Brill, & they exchanged the details of their last several years apart. Jastara felt intensely guilty for having served the Scourge so loyally & exceptionally, and knew that no one would trust her now. But her brother was not among such people. He trusted his sister, and decided to give her a chance. Jastara was recruited into The Murder of Crows by her older brother, Master Jannik, after she pledged her very soul to him, swearing to complete any order or task he chooses without question.

Jastara was first seen in WoW by WoW Census([2]) on Friday, December 5th, 2008 when she was level 59. She joined The Murder of Crows on Thursday, November 13th, 2008 when she was level 55. Jastara was promoted from Neophyte to Butcher by Master Jannik on Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 when she was level 56. She was promoted from Butcher to Ravager by Master Jannik on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008 when she was level 57. She was promoted from Ravager to Overseer by Master Jannik on Saturday, November 29th, 2008 when she was level 58. Jastara was promoted from Executor to Deathstalker by Master Jannik on Thursday, November 5th, 2009 well after she had reached level 80.
