Melriken is currently in the service of (or pulling the strings of) The Rising Shadow.
Melriken was the warlock who snuck into Ogrammar to summon in a raid force for the servers first Thrall kill, a fact that earned him some hate from the horde at the time.
He also was the first player to manage to zone into Hellfire Peninsula when Burning Crusade went live.
